5. What should you do in black out situation?

Main generator fail:

- If there is other main generator standby

• Open the MCB of the suppling generator and close MCB of the standby generator.

• Start the essential systems

• Turn off the fail generator for repairing or maintanance

- There is other main generator standby, the emergency generator operating automatically:

• Monitor and control the main switchboard and emergency switchboard:

• Start the essential systems

• Monitor and control the emergency switchboard power

• Find out the cause of black out situation, assistance the Engineers start the Diesel

generator if necessary

• Supply the power to main switchboard as soon as possible, start other systems.

• Repair , maintenance, report…

• If the emergency generator does not operating: check the starting condition and manual start  emergency generator, supply to emergency swichboard, then following the above situation

Main switchboard fail: Do not try to switch on the main generator, allow the emergency generator above.  Solve the problem in main switchboard before close the main generator MCB
